KRYPT is the heart of youth theatre at the Rose. Our full Company stands at around 35 young actors, divided into our Junior or Senior Company by age. Every Saturday during term time, our brilliant youngsters meet and enjoy being creative together. Using scripts, devising, games and improvisation, members are given lots of opportunities to share and develop their skills and talents, building towards our three production weekends at the Rose Theatre. Our KRYPT Company boasts the kindest and most supportive membership around; it's a place where artsy kids find their people and are accepted for who they are.
Both of our KRYPT groups are currently full, but if you would like to join, please click here. Once your form is submitted, your name will automatically be added to our waiting list. When you are nearing the top, you will be invited to a taster session so that prospective members can get a feel for what KRYPT is all about. If participant, parents and staff are all happy that KRYPT is a good fit, you'll be invited to join as soon as a space becomes available.

Inclusion
KRYPT are proud to support young people from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances who thrive in our youth theatre. Our staff include school teachers who are trained and experienced in working with young people with diverse needs. Our members are unauditioned and anyone is welcome to participate as long as they have a reading age of around 8+ (12+ for our Senior Company), and can commit to learning lines, attending regularly and performing in front of a supportive paying audience. Due to staffing and capacity, we are unfortunately unable to offer 1:1 provision and our ability to support new children with higher levels of additional need may depend on the current makeup of the group. If your child is interested in theatre but requires a more specialist setting, we're happy to recommend some amazing local theatre companies!
