Love Theatre? Help Us Deliver Exceptional Evenings

The Rose Theatre is seeking enthusiastic, organised and community-minded individuals to join our team as Duty Managers.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the operation of one of the Wyre Forest's leading community theatres. Working alongside our volunteers, visiting companies and production teams, you'll help ensure every performance is safe, welcoming and professionally managed.

About the Role

The Duty Manager is the responsible person on site during performances and events. From opening the building and welcoming audiences to coordinating front-of-house volunteers and ensuring the theatre is secure at the end of the evening, you'll help create an environment where everyone can enjoy live theatre with confidence.

The role includes:

• Leading front-of-house operations during performances and events.
• Supporting and briefing volunteer teams.
• Welcoming and assisting visiting companies and performers.
• Acting as the main point of contact for audience queries.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures and emergency arrangements are followed.
• Working closely with technical and production teams.
• Helping us continually improve the experience we offer.

Who We're Looking For

Friendly, approachable, calm under pressure, organised and dependable, comfortable leading others, committed to excellent customer service and passionate about community theatre. Experience in customer service, hospitality, events, leadership or theatre is beneficial but not essential.

Expressions of Interest

Please send a short Expression of Interest to admin@rosetheatre.co.uk explaining:

• Why the role appeals to you.
• The qualities, skills, experience or interests you would bring.
• What you believe you could contribute to The Rose Theatre, our volunteers and audiences.

This is not a formal application. Candidates invited to interview will automatically receive the full Job Description and Information Pack beforehand. If you have any questions before expressing your interest, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

More than anything, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to play an important part in delivering outstanding community theatre.
