We’ve Gone Dark!

No, not to the dark side…

At least once a year, theatres have a ‘dark’ period – a break between shows or seasons. Going dark might sound quite ominous but this specifically means that the whole theatre is closed to the public – no lights, no shows!

Whilst in our dark period, our volunteers will be working hard on the maintenance of the Rose including a lighting upgrade, a few licks of paint in the auditorium and general all-around building maintenance that can’t be done while we have audiences.

Firstly, we would like to thank ALL our wonderful volunteers at the Rose who work not only backstage and on stage; but contribute to the Rose with bar, front of house, box office duties  and everything in-between! The Rose couldn’t open without you.

We would also like to thank our loyal patrons and visiting companies. Over 13,123 tickets were sold during this season…. Long may these numbers continue 😊

Our dark period ends at the beginning of September when our first production of the season, The Unfriend by Steven Moffat will be on the main stage. Tickets for all our productions are available now.
