Bar Manager
I am sorry to say that once again we have a vacancy for the post of bar manager. This is one of the most onerous jobs in the whole of the theatre, and only one in which the manager is expected to make up for all of the time that other members are "unable" to help their fellow members.
We need a new bar manager immediately!!
If we do not have a volunteer for bar manager post we will be unable to organise the bar rota and stocking and so the bar will be unable to open. This may not worry some of you but I regret to say that the profit from the bar is CRITICAL to the survival of the theatre.
This year the bar profit is in the region of £10,000. This is more than the income derived from our two most popular plays.
Is there anyone who is prepared to step forward and take on this thankless but critical job?
New Season
The publicity group has been working hard on getting the new season brochure ready. Delivery of the finished brochures will be on 23rd August, and it is planned to organise a group of members to insert the brochure and letters into envelopes on the 24th August. If you are available to help on the 24th please let the office know.
Library Display
As part of the build up to the new season there will be a display in the Kidderminster library starting on 23rd August and lasting one month. The display will consist of photographs, posters and brochures from the past and looking to the new season.
Volunteering
We have attached the volunteering for the first four months of the season.
Please look carefully at your diary and then mark on the form those dates when you are available.
Brochure Delivery
The brochures for the new season will be delivered to the theatre on Monday 23rd August, and we would like to organise a team of members to put the brochure and letter in to the envelopes for posting to our patrons and members.
We will be “stuffing” the brochures on:
Tuesday 24th August starting 10:30
If you are available and would like to help please contact the office and leave a message on the answer phone or email theatremanager@rosetheatre.co.uk
Maintenance
As usual we are carrying out a significant amount of maintenance in the theatre over this summer period. If you are able to help please give you name to Keith of Mike and they will get back to you with the dates and times,

Theatre Talks
If you know of any groups that might be interested in receiving instructive and entertaining talks with audience participation about the Nonentities and the Rose please contact Shiela Hodges (01562 823274). Shiela is very kind and donates all of the profit from these talks to the Theatre.
Broadwaters Fair
For the first time we have taken part in the Broadwaters Fair and it was a success. A big thank you to the small band of helpers that gave so freely of their time.
