Availability
This season the Availability Form will serve two purposes. First for you to let us know when you are available, and second to enable us to check our database.
We have been updating the office system used for the maintenance of the members information. One reason is to help with the distribution of these newsletters by sending only one copy where two members share an address. It will also help us to send you more personalised correspondence.
With the move to the new database we need to check that the information that we hold is correct. We have included with this newsletter your personalised Availability Form. Please check and correct all of the personal information, and then fill in your availability.
Over the years the parts of the theatre in which we are interested may change. We have decided that, rather than assume we know what you want to do, we would like you to tell us. In the area below your personal details are boxes for you to fill in with a Yes or No. Please remember that to put on a single night we need 1 person on Box Office, 4 in the Foyer and 2 on the bar, plus all of the backstage and technical. If you are not familiar with anything we will train you, and give you experience!
Please complete all of the boxes to let us know your current interests.
It is vitally important that we have correct information about you, so we will be contacting all members who do not return the form by 30th June.
Repair & Maintenance
The Clear Out Day is only the first stage this year. We have a number of annual tasks (e.g. maintenance of the lights), as well as some unfinished projects (e.g. some of the bar needs painting), plus some major projects that must be completed before we can start rehearsal on the main stage.
We would like to set up a list of names of members that are prepared to help. Work will be carried out during the day, evening or at weekends to suit the volunteers. Please let either David Wakeman or Paul Cutland know if you are able to help.
Clear Out Day
July 5th is the date we have chosen for the annula clear out. We need to complete a lot of work before we reopen in September so it is important that we make an early start.
As well as the usual sort and clearance of rubbish and putting away and tidying the stuff we want to keep, this year we plan to do some spring cleaning as well. We will have many jobs planned for the day, and our progress will depend on how many of you turn up.
There will be a lunch provided, and the remainder of the kegs will be freely available. You are welcome either morning or afternoon or both.
Subscription
All subscriptions are annual and are due on 1st July.
Full Membership £35
Joint Full Membership £60
Student's & OAP's (that is over 60) £20
Associate Membership £5
Please look at your Availability Form to see when your subscription runs (or in too many cases ran) out.
Those of you who have inadvertently overpaid will receive an appropriate credit towards next year's subs.
Ticket Price Changes
At the request of the publicity team, it has been decided to simplify our pricing structure. Since we have not increased our prices since 2005 we have incorporated a small increase.
Monday to Thursday £8.00 (with concessions at £7.50)
Friday & Saturday £8.50 (no concessions)
Early Booking discount
We have decided to try a new approach to getting money up front by offering to our patrons a significant discount for early booking. They can choose any 5 Nonentities main house plays from our season of 7 and pay for only 4. The main proviso is that the booking is completed and paid by 13th September.
For other conditions please see the flyer available in the theatre during Outside Edge.
Open Day
Our open day this year will be on Saturday 30th August starting 10:00, and will include auditions at 11:00 and 14:00. Why not get your friends to come and see us in action.
