Christopher Smith rode his bicycle 16,500 miles from Bewdley to Beijing.

For thirteen months his lungs and legs powered him into headwinds, across deserts and up 2 mountain passes (and a wonderfully indomitable, reliable and adaptable source of power they proved to be). He set out with neither accomplice, television crew nor satellite navigation!
