This hilarious spoof of the 'Murder Mystery', in the best Agatha Christie tradition, is set in a country house in the 1930s. It assembles a cast of familiar but essential characters who are guaranteed to induce laughter and delight with their comicality. There's Bunting the butler; the Colonel with the prerequisite stiff upper lip; a shady French art dealer and his moll; the bumbling police inspector and a well-meaning local sleuth (a certain Miss Maple!) who attracts murder wherever she goes. We follow them in their knock-about antics as the death toll mounts and suspicion rebounds from one possible culprit to another. |
But will the murderer evade justice, or be caught in the ‘nick’ of time?
