An hilarious way to start of the new Season! Poor Adrian has a lot on his plate! Parents perpetually on the verge of divorce, disastrous experiences in his attempts to Help the Aged - the only support he seems to get is from his Grandma - and she's clearly mad! Oh! and then there's the "PANDORA CRISIS".... Shock! Horror! ...surely she's not being unfaithful? !!!

Come and re-live the "delights" of teenage angst - its never been quite so hilarious!

Director's Note

As I sit here and write I am reminded of the great leaders of the world who have, through titanic struggle, achieved their goals. They seemed to wrest victory out of the very jaws of defeat: pull and pull until they could be resisted no more ...

Well ... My journey has been nothing like that. I would like to thank the cast for all of their ideas, jokes and commitment throughout this whole process. It has been a true pleasure to work with you all. A particular mention must go to Andy Barlow who was due to play George Mole but due to an incident involving a cat, a bird, and a lack of a good warm up, his Achilles tendon decided not to work anymore!!!

I was lucky enough to have the help of Rob Grocutt from Kidderminster College who prepared all of the music and the training tracks for the cast. A big thank you!! We hope you enjoy the results of our labours!

As you read this take a moment to look up at the set, which as far as I can testify must have been built by fairies. Every time I came into rehearsal more of the set was complete!! A big thank you, whoever you are!!! As the cast run around stage doing their level best to entertain and tell a story that I hope strikes a chord with you, look carefully at what they are carrying, wearing, sitting on and running past; all provided by a superb team of props and costume people. Thank you all so much.

All of these people who run around in the background making, sewing, searching, building, chasing (me mainly!) a big thank you to you all, you have made this an absolute pleasure and not at all like the arduous opening to this little opus!

From the person who sold you your ticket, this program, your coffee (or something stronger!), the team at The Rose hope you enjoy Adrian Mole!

Thank you

Richard
