Directors Notes
A FROSTY, FURRY, FUN-FILLED FAMILY FAVOURITE!
The Nonentities’ Christmas production is a twentieth century children’s classic – a magical tale of good and evil with Christian parallels.
C.S. Lewis’s story of four children who discover their wardrobe is a doorway to another world, the strange land of Narnia, is guaranteed to stir the minds of the children in the audience – whatever their age! However, this thrilling unexpected journey is only the start of a much bigger adventure; the children find themselves thrust into the heart of a cosmic battle between the White Witch and Aslan the lion, the King of the Beasts. With which side will you identify yourself? Which side will win?
It is many years since we last presented “The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe” and we are delighted to bring back this play by popular request. This time we have been pleased to be able to invite members of The Rose Theatre Youth Group to take part in the production, which has meant we can rightly use young people to take the roles of the children together with several other characters. We sincerely hope that they enjoy this opportunity to take part in a full production with the Nonentities and that you, the audience enjoy the influx of new, young talent on to The Rose stage.
