Description
Barney Cashman enjoys a cosy life. The middle-aged owner of a New York fish restaurant, he has been happily married for twenty-three years. Now he is desperate to sample the sexual revolution before it's too late! Enter Elaine, a hard drinking femme fatale; Bobbie, an unemployed night club singer and Jeanette, Barney's wife's best friend.
Barney's attempts to seduce these wildly unsuitable candidates in three afternoons of unbridled anticlimax in his Mother's apartment provide rich opportunities for the sharp and snappy humour of which Neil Simon is such a master. Neil Simon is America's most successful comic playwright, the prolific author of hit comedies including The Odd Couple, Barefoot in the Park and Lost in Yonkers.
