Facilities At The Rose - Stage

Last Update  07-Mar-2008

The Main Stage is of conventional proscenium design facing a raked auditorium with a seating capacity of 181. Acting area is approx. 20’ x 20’ + a small apron area.

Regrettably there is no fly tower or flying facilities other than two full width bars on ropes at the back of the stage and centre stage.

Four curtained legs are adjustable laterally and their angle to the stage can also be adjusted. Front Tabs are on an electrical single speed winch and there is a rear set of Tabs on a full width track approx. 4' downstage from the Cyc wall. A further tab track, normally containing black tabs, is positioned approx. centre stage .

Stage Managers Desk is situated Stage Left with communications to the Control Room, Dressing Rooms and Box Office. Control Room for Lighting & Sound is situated at the rear of the Auditorium with good views of the stage.

Wing space Stage Left is limited and suitable only for properties and small furniture. Wing space Stage Right extends to the full depth of the stage and approx. 9/10 feet to the side of the stage. This also houses the scenery bay, but this can only be cleared in exceptional circumstances.
